Introduction
 Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are
becoming increasingly pervasive in the different fields of
society including academia across the world.

 Globalization and innovations in technology have led to an

increased used of ICTs in all sectors - and education is no
exception. Uses of ICTs in education are widespread and are
continually growing worldwide.

 ICT assisted teachers and students for more creative thinking ,

not only searching topics on different search engine and e-
libraries but also take print out it , in short period of time
makes effective lectures and notes. By using power point
slides with multimedia projector lecture delivering and
presentation is so easy[2].
Introduction
 Teaching & learning methodology be updated with
Computer technology in Educational institution of Sindh.
In District Khairpur, Taluka Sobhodero is well known in
the quality Education. Many Public and Private reputable
institutions are playing its effective role in education.

 In Pakistan (Sindh Province) most of the rural areas public

educational institutes facing lack of physical and technical
infrastructure facilities are nil which are supportive to ICTs.
Poor school/ College buildings, limited or no supply of
electricity and poor telecommunication links. Real
challenges of Pakistan (Sindh) are Capacity- building at
different areas like professional development of teachers,
technical support, specialist development and content
development in education.
Introduction
 Integration of Information, Communication, and
Technology (ICT) will assist teachers to the global
requirement to replace traditional teaching methods with
a technology-based teaching and learning tools and
facilities [3].

 Nowadays, it is essential for the educators to keep the

complete knowledge about the ICT tools because it
affects the performance of the education. Moreover, it is
essential need of our Sindh province that Educational
Institutions to be integrated with ICT Labs.
Problem Statement
 Many of the issues and challenges associated with ICTs in
education appear at higher education level which can be over
come by the policy makers, donor agencies, and
educationalist. However, data on the nature and complexity of
these issues remains limited because of the lack of good
monitoring and evaluation tools.

 We have selected the High schools/Colleges of Taluka

Sobhodero to investigate the ICT facilities and lack of a
common set of indicators for ICTs in these institutes. And,
where data has been collected, it is often quantitative data
related to infrastructure (number of computers, for example)
rather than data that can help policymakers gauge the impact
of ICT interventions on student learning.
Problem Statement
 It is clear that more research needs to be conducted to
understand the complex links between ICTs, learning, and
achievement. Few of these Private schools use ICT tools on
substandard level.

 unfortunately, there is limited used of ICT tools such as

multimedia projector Sound, video, internet in Taluka
Sobhodero, District Khairpur because government is not
take serious efforts towards these technologies and software
tools. Hence, it is great need to put some research efforts
towards this burning issue. In this research study, we will
evaluate the ICT capability of the teachers/students of
selected area.
Objectives
1. To identify the use of ICT base tools in Public and
Private educational institutes.

2. To propose the best teaching method.

3. To find out the availability of ICT based learning tools

in selected area.

4. To identify the need of ICT training for teachers in

Public /Private educational institutes.
Motivation
 As we understand the importance of technology in education, and
usage of different applications in education, but lack of resources
mostly observed in education sector. Although government
announced emergency in education, sound budget is fixed but
unfortunately as usage of IT almost nil. There is need to understand
the possible barriers and challenges may face by teachers and
students by using technology, it has been observed the lack of IT
teachers and even computer labs in Higher Secondary Schools and
Colleges.

 Information Technology is essential for learning in different sectors

of society such as health, Agriculture, Defense, in general and
education in particular. Teachers and parents are considering as a
critical part of child’s education, although now a day’s students/
pupils intend to use ICT to learn but they have no such facilities in
Higher secondary schools/Colleges to improve their skills.
Motivation
 Undoubtedly the field of education has been affected by
Information, Communication, and Technology, having a
possibility to enrich, accelerate, and deepen skills to motivate
and engage students in different practices.

 Conventional teaching methods has emphasized on contents,

or courses bound with textbooks for many years, traditional
process of teaching has rotated around the teachers planning
and leading students through the series of instructions to
achieve the desired outcomes.

 Information Communication Technology integration help to

revitalize the teachers and students, contemporary ICT
software based tools able to provide strong and support for all
necessary ways to improve the quality of education.
Research Methodology

•This study focus to analyze practically ICT based software tools

used in the teaching practice in selected Public and Private
educational institutes of Taluka SobhoDero.

•This Research is emphasized on data collection, interpretation and

analysis of primary data. applied percentage technique to describe
and illustrate the answers of respondents in statistical charts.
Research Methodology
Population
The Number of faculty members of selected Higher secondary
schools and Colleges of Taluka Sobhodero are Public= 147
and Private = 307, Total population for current study is 454

Sampling Design
All male and female faculty members, who are working in
higher education of Public /Private educational institutes, and
convenient sampling technique was used in this survey. The
modified questionnaire is used for collecting the primary data.
Literature Review
 In this 21st century, the term “technology” is an important
issue in many fields including education. This is because
technology has become the knowledge transfer highway in
most countries. Integration of Information, Communication,
and Technology (ICT) will assist teachers to the global
requirement to replace traditional teaching methods with a
technology-based teaching and learning tools and facilities
[3].

 The many promising prospects of computers and its

applications did not emerged, and research into their
effectiveness in learning has left many unanswered questions
this study presented by the methods used in educational
research of this nature in the past and present have evolved
over the years [4].
Literature Review
 The current study sought to examine the effectiveness of four
teaching techniques(lecture, demonstrations, discussions, and
in-class activities) in the classroom, it described that the
technique offers different benefits to the instructor and
students, each and every technique was expected to aid and
support the different depth of learning [6].
 Global networks had capacity of communication in early
stages of the internet and world wide web drew attention due
to connecting networks. Paid attention towards the teaching
learning methods with the using of internet [7].
 Great potentials exist for learning analytics to provide new
visions into educational practices and ways to increase
teaching, learning, and decision-making.
 ICT software based goals help the teachers to consider the
possibilities for embedding technology into teaching [8].
Literature Review
 Teachers motivates students to using ICT for learning
presented by, the use of technology in social studies as a
means to motivate students by engaging students in the
learning process with the use of a familiar instructional tool
that improves students’ self efficacy and self-worth. Students
were excited about learning and displayed pride in the
PowerPoint slides they created. Students enjoyed working on
the project with technology because they viewed technology
as more engaging and entertaining [10].

 there is a need of bridge studies between teaching and

learning with studies of the subject involved. An analytical
design and framework able to bridge the teaching–learning
gap needs to be developed. Different emerging technologies in
video/audio documentation provide unique chain of surveys
for bridging how different patterns are connected to
instructional activities and collaboration formats in
classrooms [11].
Literature Review
 The differences are some basics agreements that this paper
explored. E-learning needs to be understood in the broader
context of using technology to meet society’s needs for
learning. It also requires us to understand that adult learners
have psychological needs that e-learning must address. The
Informing Science framework helps us understand that
teaching in higher education involves a cast of roles that
might best be performed by different specialists [12].

 ICT would provide the rich environment and motivation, and

possibilities for learners and teachers. students who used ICT
for educational reasons in school/ Colleges feel more
confident and successful were more motivated to learn and
have raised self-esteem [13].
Literature Review
 The respondents reported that their teachers sometimes use
ICT during lecture. Keeping the importance of ICT in view,
the study concluded that teachers should make maximum use
of ICT during their lecture because it has a great impact on
student’s learning. Majority of the respondents admitted that
they use internet for study but they do not know about
advance searching techniques. Google is the main searching
engine, study found that the available PCs in computer labs
are inadequate for meeting the needs of student and they feel
problem in accessing computers[14].
 there is a common belief that the use of ICTs in education
contributes to a more constructivist learning and an increase in
activity and greater responsibility of students.[15].
