Atomic

Theory
Dalton’s Atomic Theory
Dalton atomic theory was discovered by
John Dalton and is the first atomic theory
based on scientific data.
Thomsom’s Atomic Theory
J.J. Thomson described his atomic model
after he discovered the cathode ray. He
concluded that atoms are positively
charged solid spheres and in them
dispersed negatively charged electrons.
Rutherford’s Atomic Theory
Rutherford's atomic theory emerged based
on an alpha-light scattering experiment of
uranium. The conclusion is that atoms are
made up of tiny, positively charged nuclei,
surrounded by negatively charged electrons
like the solar system
Bohr’s Theory
Niels Bohr, conducted a hydrogen spectrum
experiment to improve Rutherford's atomic
theory. Bohr's experimental results are the
electrons surrounding the nucleus of an
atom consisting of Protons and Neutrons on
certain paths called electron shells or
energy levels.
Modern Atomic Theory
The modern atomic theory was invented by
Schrodinger. The explanation of the modern
atomic model is that the electrons
surrounding the atomic nucleus have a
certain energy level but its existence can
not be ascertained.
