RULE 1 – BE PUNCTUAL

RULE 2 – BE RESPECTFUL

1. Be courteous when you enter the room.


2. Refrain from using profane or abusive language.
3. Listen (don’t speak) while others are speaking.
4. No chewing of gum; eating or drinking.
5. Address teachers and peers with courtesy.
6. No personal grooming in class.
7. No smart phones or other electronic devices are allowed.

WHEN YOU ENTER
1. GREET THE CLASS IN ENGLISH.
2. LEAVE FOOD OR DRINKS OUTSIDE OR IN BACKPACK
3. BE SILENT UNLESS IS SPEAKING TIME.
4. TAKE OUT NEEDED MATERIALS.
5. PLACE YOUR BACKPACK IN AN ORDERED WAY.
6. WRITE THE DATE, TOPICS & OBJECTIVES AS YOU SEE
THEM.
WHEN TARDY …
1. ENTER QUIETLY.
2. TAKE OUT NEEDED MATERIALS.
3. PLACE YOUR BACKPACK IN AN ORDERED WAY.
4. MAKE SURE THE TEACHER WRITES TARDY (T) ON THE
LIST
5. AFTER AN EXCUSED ABSENCE, MAKE SURE THE
TEACHER CROSSES OUT THE MISSATTENDANCE.
6. WRITE THE DATE, TOPICS AND OBJECTIVES AS YOU
SEE THEM.
7. BEGIN WORKING FOLLOWING THE AGENDA.
WHEN COMPLETING TASKS…
1. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS THE FIRST TIME.
2. QUIETLY RAISE YOUR HAND FOR ASSISTANCE.
3. WAIT TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED.
4. WORK CAREFULLY, QUICKLY, AND QUIETLY.
5. USE A LOW VOICE WHEN REQUIRED.
WHEN I NEED YOUR ATTENTION …

WHEN WORKING IN A GROUP …
1. You must complete each group activity.
2. Play your role in the group.
3. You have the right to ask anyone else in your
group for help.
4. You have the duty to assist anyone who asks for
help.
5. Help other group members without doing their
work for them.
6. Everybody helps (this includes cleaning and
packing).
7. If no one in the group can help, decide a single
group question to ask the teacher.
WHEN TURNING IN PAPERS …
1. WRITE YOUR NAME ON THE DESGINATED
SPACE (TOP LEFT)
2. WRITE THE DATE IN ENGLISH
3. WRITE IN BLUE OR BLACK INK.
• WORK COMPLETED IN PENCIL WILL NOT BE
ACCEPTED UNLESS IS GRAMMAR.
4. DROP IN ASSIGNMENTS WHEN YOU
ENTER.
WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED …
1. HELP SOMEONE WHO NEEDS IT.
2. BEGIN YOUR HOMEWORK.
3. REVIEW YOUR VOCABULARY/GRAMMAR.

WHEN THE BELL RINGS …
“THE BELL IS A SIGNAL TO THE TEACHER”
1. REMAIN SEATED.
2. WAIT FOR INSTRUCTIONS.
3. PACK YOUR THINGS QUIETLY.
4. CHECK IF YOUR SEAT IS CLEAN.
5. WAIT TO BE DISMISSED.
IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY

1. DON’T PANIC.
2. LISTEN TO INSTRUCTIONS QUIETLY.
3. FIRE ALARM
 Line up quickly on the outside.
 Move as a group toward the meeting point.
 Stay with the group and look out for everyone.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY …
5. IF SOMEONE FALLS ILL
 Don’t panic – there is no need to scream.

 Someone stay with the person.

 Someone else call a teacher.

 Everyone else be responsible and help in


whatever way you can inside the room.
IF THE TEACHER IS ABSENT …
1. SOMEONE TAKE CHARGE
 Take attendance and submit the next day.
 Do your pending work.
 Do your assigned work.
2. FOLLOW THE RULES AND PROCEDURES AND
NO ONE WILL VISIT.
3. STAY ON TASK
4. SPEAK IN A LOW TONE
5. STAY OFF THE CORRIDORS – grin and bear it.
 If someone has a genuine emergency go to the tutor.
 Make a note of who had to leave and for what reason.
6. DO NOT ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO COME IN.
IF THERE IS A SUBSTITUTE …
1. FOLLOW THE RULES AND PROCEDURES.
2. BE RESPECTFUL.
3. DO YOUR WORK.
4. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS EVEN IF YOU DON’T
