 The Law of Periodic Repetition
• That which has been is what will be, That which is
done is what will be done, And there is nothing new
under the sun. – Eccl. 1:9
• To everything there is a season, A time for every
purpose under heaven – Eccl. 3:1 (NKJV)

The book of Ecclesiastes implies the law of

periodic repetition and anyone who can
anticipate what lies ahead and plan/act
accordingly could gain the opportunity of a
lifetime.
Where are you in the cycle?

• Two important questions need to

be answered if we must make
progress in the journey of life
financially and otherwise. These
questions are where am I going
and where am I now?
Self – Analysis: The Starting Point for
Financial Recovery/Restoration

• Reality vs Illusion
– Do you have a balance for yourself,
family and business? Cf. 2 Kings 2:19,
Rev. 3:17
You as a person or people?

• Land analysis
– World Economy National Economy
Community Economy Family Economy
Personal Economy.
• Linage analysis
– Grand parents in boom Parents in
Recession Children in Depression
Grand children in Recovery Great grand
children in Boom.
Seek Help / Advise

• Identify the experts around you,

sometimes you can get free
counsel from church members.
 Consider your options
• Think of what you have left II Kings 4:2
– Take it from there. Optimize your
resources i.e. make more investment
spending than consumption spending.
• Avoid selling property to eat.
- Instead of selling property to feed
yourself or family consider conversion
to income generation asset.
• Avoid selling property to pay debt
rather RE-NEGOTIATE with your
creditors.
Be aggressive in prayer

• Our lives are more spiritual than

physical business in particular.
• Pray prayer of inquiry – what is the
source of my situation.
• Pray the prayer of direction - Lead me
Oh Lord to my calling and business in
life.
Settle Spiritual Outstandings

• Many of us get to financial depression

because of spiritual outs-tandings
much more than physical financial
out-standings.
Take action and keep acting.

• We need to act especially as we receive

direction from God.
• Pray prayer of inquiry – what is the
source of my situation.
• Pray the prayer of direction - Lead me
Oh Lord to my calling and business in
life.
Tap into the anointing of the successful

• Identify people who have made it

either in business or ministry and tap
into their anointing. But be sure that
they are Godly people.
Finally believe God that you are back on
track and begin to operate as such even
with seed sowing.
• Nobody want to relate with failure,
people will avoid you if you carry
failure mentality or display sorrow.
And that will worsen your situation.
• Pursue, overtake and recover. It is
your portion in Christ Jesus.
