Ease of Use

New graphic display interface benefits:

– Improved visibility in direct sunlight

– Weatherproof

– Touch Sensitive Design

– Improved operation in extreme

temperature range -40°F to 165°F
(-40°C to 75°C)

Uptime Improvement
Power Ride Through (Uptime)
Ensures continuous ESP operation through voltage transients for less well
downtime. Rides through up to 1s for single-phase power loss and up to
150ms w/full three-phase power loss

Uptime improvement – Pump Off

MaxRate beta (Uptime)

• Patented algorithm automatically

determines maximum rate of production
before gas lock or pump-off.

• Continuous re-calibration of system

speed to maintain operation

MaxRate Success
Decrease in current due
to gas lock or pump off

Increase in motor temperature

due to loss of flow past the motor

Drop in motor torque (due to gas lock or

pump off) signals MaxRate to try and
mitigate; notice the Hz signal

System optimization

MaxPowerbeta (Optimization)
Automatically adjust voltage (V) setting to achieve optimal system
efficiency at a given operating speed (Hz).

Move the voltage so the

current draw is least

Cost savings example:

100 VSD Wells,
Assume 2% optimization
Daily kWH @ 80HP, 60 kW
$.09/kWH = $3888 / mo
Annual savings: $94.6k

Final result,
lower Volts and
Amps at same
Hz

Control Methods

There are numerous control options for the Advantage

Variable Speed Drive:
• Hz set

• I Limit

• PID Control

• Software based custom control (MaxRatetm) and

optimization (MaxPowertm)

Expansion capabilities

All GCS I/O devices are compatible, providing for best-in-

class expansion capabilities

• I/O modules – analog in/out; discrete in/out

• RDCM – Remote Data Communications Module: gather
data from Modbus compliant devices
• Centineltm and WellLifttm interface, for comm’s on down
hole gauging
• NeuraFlowtm module, for real time flow calculation
• Programmable Logic functions for custom control

System Integration

• Complete system approach.

– Compatibility with our downhole sensors.
• Offers a inclusive view of both the
downhole and the surface.
• Vision monitoring and automation
service
• All GCS I/O compatible
– Designed to compliment the ESP system
to maximize production and enhance
optimization.
