Analysis

 The Ship is still in the harbour

 Anti Heeling System is not working properly, so to solve the slope of the ship by
filling ballast water to one heeling tank manully
 There is an error in stabilty calculation
 There is not clinometer check
 The crue ship don’t know the real total weight of vehicle because there is not
vehicle weight measurenment, that will influence the accuracy of stability
calculation
 There is no stability recheck from The Syahbandar until the publication of
Sailing Approval Letter
 There is the difference of the number of vehicles data from the operator and
the ship’s crew
Analysis

 In the fresh water filling process in Right FWT Tank, The Ship crue didn’t reduce
the ballast water. The consequance is The adding of load weight of the ships
 The mate didn’t recalculation the stability and and continued to order
freshwater filling in the left tank as an attempt to stabilize the ship. The ship’s
crew only did visual inspection, so the ship’s crew didn’t know what is the
actual condition of the ship.
 KM BJL I have been modified, so the function of promenade deck has
changed which is originally used for pasenger, but now used for vehicle deck
 There was a shift in vehicles, which is affecting the stability of the ship
 There was loading and filling of ship supplies after the Sailing Approval Letter
publicated
Recommendation

 Check and fix the anti heeling system, so it can keep the ship’s stability
 Use the actual data of vehicle’s weight in stability calculation, so it can
maintain the stability calculation
 Do the clinometer check
 Recheck the stability calculation
 After adding something in the ship which influence the stability of the ship,
we must calculate the stability of the ship, so we know what will we do in
the next
 We must striving to prevent the shift of vehicle
Recommendation

 Don’t modified the function of the part of the ship
