Literature Review
• Solano, Cabrera, Uhlehlova & Espinoza (2017).,
reported the results of their questionnaires, from which
students expressed that “they feel motivated and
interested in using the technological tools in classrooms in
general because they enable them to learn more
effectively according to their individual needs in an
interactive way and, therefore, students’ curiosity arises.
Additionally, technology provides teachers and students
with a dynamic learning process”.
Literature Review
• “I too conclude that technology is beneficial in supporting
ELL students upon a number of conditions being met: 1.
The technology is intuitive and user friendly. 2. The
technology or program does not replace the role of the
teacher. 3 Teachers feel comfortable using the technology
themselves to best support the learner. This may mean
more training for teachers in the field of technology is
necessary. 4. The technology enhances the child’s
learning, rather than replaces a traditional practice that is
just as effective. Lecocq, C. (2015).

Design of the Study
• The population of this study includes eleven students from
UDI University David. There are 8 women and 3 men.
These students possess a high-beginner level of the
target language (English) and their ages go from 20 to 25
years old.
• These students have received the same level of English
instruction in the subject of Pronunciation I. Besides, they
come from different social backgrounds.
Instruments
The instruments that will be used to collect data in this
research are:

• Questionnaire: This instrument includes ten questions

that will be handed to the students in order to respond the
sounds they already know and the ones that they do not
recognize.
Instruments
• Fill the gaps information worksheet: This instrument includes the
implementation of a listening activity through the usage of an online
Application, where the students will recognize the sound of the International
Phonetic Alphabet, and they will be able to repeat, produce sound and
pronounce words correctly.

• The participants of this had to listen to sound repetitions and complete an

information gap worksheet. The information gap worksheet contains the
same information they listened to previously.
Instruments
• Checklist: This instrument includes a list of items that
represents behavior, motivation, and learning with and
without technology. The researcher will verify the option
that students demonstrate.
