DEATH OF CANCER CELLS AFTER
RADIOTHERAPY
When the cells lose the ability to perform apoptosis (mutation) or when
the initiative to apoptosis is inhibited (virus), HPV damaging genetic
system using E6 gene that degrades p53 protein. In fact, the p53 protein
plays an important role in the mechanism of apoptosis. Therefore, HPV
infection can result in the growth of cervical cancer .
