Current objective- Attainment by all people of the world a level of health that
will permit them to lead a socially & economically productive life

Structure

• he World Health Assembly is the supreme decision-making body for


WHO.
• It meets each year in May at Geneva , and is attended by delegations
from all 192 Member States . T
• he Executive board has now 34 members.
• One-third of membership is renewed every year.
• Board meets twice a year. The Secretariat is headed by Director
general. The secretariat is comprised of 8000 international public
servants in 2010.
