Research on Police Violence Towards Suspects
Problem Statement
• In an incident that occur on June 26, 2018
a man was shot by the policeman during
car chasing. Even though the man was
considered as a suspect only, the
policeman still fired upon the man. The
man was ultimately found to be injured at
the end of the incident. This brings to the
question, whether the policeman should
have the authority to fire on sight without
having firm knowledge about the
suspects.
Aims
• To reduce the chances of the
suspect getting injured during any
police missions.
Objectives
• Policeman should not be authorise to
shot suspect without certainty on
their identity
• Police should use the non-lethal
weapons, such as taser instead of
guns.
• Ensure the police background should
be thoroughly check before getting
authorise to use the gun.
