Classroom Expectations
and Procedures

Fifth Grade with Mrs. Kimionakis

What is Differentiation?

• Differentiation is recognizing that students have

varying knowledge bases, readiness levels,
languages and cultures, preferred learning styles,
and interests.
• We maximize each student’s growth and learning
potential by creating a classroom that recognizes
and supports those differences through small
group instruction and choice.

Our goal for your child is to build a

safe community where each student
can grow and learn successfully.
General Expectations

• Students need to be prepared for class; have

materials and required items ready to learn!
• All students are expected to complete up to 50
minutes of homework each night as assigned
by district guidelines.
• Students are learning to be more responsible
this year. Along with responsibility comes more
independence. This will take time and effort to
manage.

Let Your Child Make Mistakes!

They Will Learn From Them!
