Operation

Here's are some circuit diagrams for

driving relays from a microcontroller.
Make sure you're using a 5-volt relay
(this refers to the coil, not the load
circuit), and make sure that the relay
has a high enough rating for the load
that you're driving.
NR2_JR28__Series_Bimetallic_Strip_T
hermal_Overload_Relay
• NR2 series bimetallic strip thermal
overload relay is mainly applicable to
a circuit of AC 50Hz / 60Hz, rated
working voltage up to 690V and
current from 0.1A to 630A, used to
protect a motor from overload, phase
- failure, extra - long starting time and
blocking time. It can be inserted in a
corresponding AC contactor or
installed independently. It can
replace JRS1 series thermal over -
load relayOur NR2() Series Bimetallic
Strip Thermal Overload Relay comply
with International Quality Standards
and their quality and durability are
fully guranteed.

NRE8_40_Electronic_Type_Thermal_R
elay
• NRE8 electronic type thermal relay is mainly
applicable to a line of AC 50Hz / 60Hz, rated
working voltage 690V and less and current
from 20A to 40A, used to protect a 3 - phase
AC motor from overload and phase - failure.
Its power consumption is only 10% that of a
40A bimetallic strip thermal relay and 5%
that of a 20A bimetallic strip thermal relay.
This product is a new type of energy - saving
hi - tech electric device. It adopts micro -
controller to test wave shape and quantity of
the current, judge motor=s overload or
phase - failure. When the delay time is up,
the normal close contact opens through the
action of the tripping gear, while the normal
open contact is closed. In case of overload,
the micro - controller can determine the
delay time by calculating the multiple of the
over - current. In case of power - failure, the
micro - controller will shorten the delay time.
This product is in conformity to standards
GB14048.4 - 93, IEC947 - 4:1990
automotive
• When wiring anything in your vehicle that
draws heavy current such as high powered
offroad lights or audio amplifiers, there are a
few things to consider. Number one, make
sure you use wire that is rated for the
amperage that the accessories is going to
pull. It is always better to have wire that is
OVER rated rather than wire that is not rated
high enough. If wire is used that is not rated
to handle the current that your accessory will
pull, the result could be overheated wires
that could melt the insulation or the
electrical plugs found throughout your
vehicle (see image below), causing a short or
worse yet it could result in a fire. If you know
how much current your accessory will draw
you can determine what gauge wire is
appropriate for your application.
• If your fuel pump is not working there
is a possibility that your fuel pump
relay is bad. When you turn the
ignition key forward the coil inside the
relay is energized. When the coil is
energized you can generally quietly
hear the fuel pump buzzing for a few
seconds. The fuel pump will come on
before the engine has a chance
to start up so that the fuel system will
be pre pressurized. If the relay has
gone bad the fuel pump will never
come on. If you don’t hear the fuel
pump turn on, look under the hood,
probably inside the fuse panel to
locate the relay. The air conditioning
circuit will probably use a similar
relay. If the relays are the same, you
can swap the two to test the fuel
pump relay
