• Narrated ‘Umar (ra):

Allah’s Messenger ‫ ﷺ‬said: “If one after performing ablution completely

recites the following supplication:

ُ‫ُولُه‬ َ ‫ َوأ َ ْش َه ُد أ َ ان ُُ َح اُ اد‬,ُ‫يك لَه‬

ُ ‫َ ْْ ُدهُ َو َر‬ ‫أ َ ْش َه ُد أ َ ْن ََل ِإلَهَ ِإ اَل َ ا‬
َ ‫ّللَاُ َو ْح َدهُ ََل ش َِر‬
Ash-hadu an la ilaha ill-Allahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, wa ash hadu anna
Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasuluhu) ‘I testify that there is no one worthy of
worship but Allah, He is Alone and has no partner and Muhammad ‫ ﷺ‬is his
slave and Messenger’, all the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him
and he may enter through any gate he wishes”. (Narrated by Muslim)
• In the narration in At- Tirmidhi, it is added: "Allahummaj-'alni minat-
tawwabina, waj-'alni minal-mutatahhirin (O Allah make me among those
who repent and purify themselves).“
