ALL ABOUT ISM COURSE
ISM is a course where students get the
chance to shadow a professional in their
career choice of study. It gives them a
chance to gain knowledge about the work
environment and specific profession.
Throughout the semester students are
required to do
- - 3 mentorship hours per week
- - 2 activity hours for ism
- - Check ins with the teacher
- - Assignments including goal settings,
poster project, Presentation outline,
and research
- - A final presentation powerpoint and
project

WHY DID I CHOOSE MY TOPIC?
I chose my topic because Genecology is the study
that interests me the most in the medical field. You help
people maintain a healthy reproductive system and aid
them in birthing babies and creating new life. However
there are always complications that come with achieving
that goal and my topic discusses what those are and how
gynaecologists fix the problems by utilizing different
fertility methods best fit for the patient.

CONCLUSION
By shadowing a Gynecologist and
by creating the semester project I
hope to create a better
understanding of the medical field
and an improved perspective on how
the medical field works. The
mentorship helps me gain experience
and knowledge to jump start my
future in the medical field and
achieve my goal in working in
women's health as my career.
