Herrens Mark

Herrens Mark is an innovative, organic farm that specialises

in the development of herbal extracts. We handle all the
steps at our farm – from the fields to production, packaging
and logistics. The herbs are harvested from the fields,
prepared for production and refined using lactic acid
fermentation.
In cooperation with Aarhus University Hospital, Herrens
Mark has completed several scientific studies about the
development and documented effect of our extracts

 Study I - Menopause
Conclusion
• 12 weeks intervention with red clover extract induced a beneficial effect on bone
health based on measurements of BMD, T-score and CTx levels in healthy
menopausal women.
• Combining the CTx data with the BMD analyses strongly indicates that red clover
decreases osteoclast activity leading to increase in BMD in the short term.

Future perspectives
• Long term study (close to completion with compelling preliminary results)

 Study II - clinical trial:
Red Clover extract as a treatment for
osteopenia and osteoporosis
• 12 month study
• Screened 150 women, 85 included between the ages of 50-85 years
with osteopenia
• Effect of bioavailable red clover extract on bone mineral density
• Dose : 60mg/day Isoflavones
• Both groups receive: vitamin D, calcium and magnesium +
multivitamin
• Results are expected in 2016
• we can already reveal, that the results look very promising
