Guidelines
Setting the atmosphere

• Explain why we praise God
• Explain why we sing and dance
• Heating up
• Transitioning (Specially for newly
renewed Christians)
• Actions songs to praise songs
• From fast tempo to slower tempo
which leads to the worship part
• Using bible verses

• To the instrumentalist
• Don’t play noticeable song
• Play simple chord progression
• Put a lot of space in your rhythm
• Be free in expressing your tempo , no
need to follow the tempo
• Use dynamics or feelings
• Remember your role which is to
support the WL
• Know your settings
• Adjust your volumes
• Don’t be loud

• To the worship leader (WL)
• Be prayerful always
• Surrender yourself to the Holy
Spirit
• Your role is to lead the people to
worship
• Be conscious always, don’t close
your eyes
• Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit
• You are not oblige to sing the
song, let your backup vocals do
that job

• Song particulars
• Know the song inside and out
• How many verses and chorus
• Where to go back
• When to end
• Always remember to give a cue or
sign to your Worship team
• Know the meaning of the song
• Support the song with bible verses
• If a song has an adlib, never insert
your prayer there unless it is required
or planned
• Base your song arrangement on the types
of participants
• Being aggressive will not always mean
that your WT is lively or inviting

• During the prayer of tongues
• This is the crucial part of the GPM
• The WL must lead the people
• When praying in tongues never put the
mic near your mouth (BV and WL)
• Singing in tongues is beautiful specially
when singing in harmony
• AGAIN be sensitive to the Holy Spirit
• Silence will not always mean nothing
• There is “A time to keep silent, and a
time to speak” - Ecclesiastes 3:7

• Supporting act
• Visual
• The projector operator must know the
sequence of the songs
• If the WL has a prepared bible verse, it is
advice to give it to the operator of the
project
• Active mixing
• The mixer operator must know how to
adjust the mixer
• The choir is advice to give their support by
singing during the GPM
• During the set up, each member of the WT
must set up as early as possible
• No unnecessary things allowed like
playing worldly music

• Get the names of the attendees before
hand who wants to do testimony
• Explain thoroughly the ABCs of testimony
• Accurate – The truth
• Brief – Summarized testimony
• Christ centered – Christ is the center
and not you

• Role play from the youth
• Final song – it needs to be lively
