Foreword
Located at supporting network layer, the SYNLOCK V3
multi-function clock platform integrates the frequency
synchronization network, time synchronization network and
clock monitoring network. It provides communication
network with clock frequency in high stability as well as
time service in high accuracy. The SYNLOCK V3 also
monitors the clock performance of devices in the whole
network.

System Overview
 the synchronization network serves as a supporting
network, which solves the synchronization problems and
monitors, maintains and manages the synchronization
network.

 The SYNLOCK V3 has abundant output ports which


provide the following digital devices with timing reference
signals of high quality.

Login and Logout
 Login:
Select Start > Programs > SynlockV3 > SynlockV3 Program
from the start menu, or double click on the desktop to display
the login dialog box as shown below.

User Name: Admin

Password: Admin

Click Login to display the main interface of the maintenance


terminal as shown below.

 Logout:

Select System >Logout in the main menu to logout the


system.

 Note:

If no operation is performed on the maintenance terminal for


a specified period of time, the system is locked
automatically. To unlock the system, input the login
password in the Lock System dialog box, and click OK.

Shortcut Menu

NE view Display the NE view.

Alarm Display the alarm management window.

Display the NE selection dialog box, and then the data configuration window
Data configuration
after selecting an NE.

Maintenance and Display the NE selection dialog box, and then the maintenance and monitoring

User management Display the user management window.

NE Creation
The maintenance terminal is connected to the SYNLOCK
V3 BITS through serial port or Ethernet port (RJ45).

 Method 1: serial port

Go to menu ”NE VIEW”,


then right click on blank
area, select “Create NE”

NE Creation
The maintenance terminal is connected to the SYNLOCK
V3 BITS through serial port or Ethernet port (RJ45).

 Method 2: Ethernet port

Go to menu ”NE VIEW”,


then right click on blank
area, select “Create NE”

Displaying the NE Table View
 Go to menu ”NE VIEW”, then right click on blank area,
select “NE Table View”.

Modify NE Connection Properties
 Go to menu ”NE VIEW”, then right click on the NE, select
“Modify NE Connection Properties”, later it will show you the
connection properties view (same as NE Creation) again.

Creating Board
 Double click the Data configuration node on the navigation
tree to display the Select NE dialog box. Select an NE, and
click OK to display the Data configuration-Board Position
Diagram dialog box as shown below.

 Step 1: Select the SRCU/ SOCU board.

 Step 2: right click, and select Configure SRCU or Configure


SOCU (here take the SRCU board as an example) to display a
dialog box as shown below.

 In the reference source list, select the digital signal reference
source, right click, and select Configure Reference Source to

 The performance data of the SYNLOCK falls into four types:
TIE, MTIE, TDEV and FREQ.

 Here we will take “Querying TIE Data” for an example to


show how to use the Performance Management.

Database Maintenance
 Because the memory on the BITS is limited, some important
running data, such as performance and alarm data must be
queried and stored in the terminal database regularly. The
data is stored in Synnet.mdb which is backed up at the
same time. The database needs to be maintained regularly
for the security and stability.
