1. IP children and their right
to education
Findings:
- Contextualized Lesson Plan for K to 12 in 13 Divisions
- 251 Schools implementing IPEd
- Opened 64 New Public Schools with 7,326 IP Learner
- Trained 786 Teachers and school Heads on IPEd
- Recently conducted Orthography Development Writeshop
(assisted by Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino)

Recommendations:
- Additional schools in hinterland barangays to discourage
the establishment of schools not accredited by DEPED and
operated by left-leaning groups
2. IDP children and their right to
health and basic welfare
Findings:
- Provision of humanitarian assistance and basic services decreased as
displacements became prolonged
- Issue of selling permanent shelters in Iligan City
- Marawi displacement: rebuilding of Marawi resulted to GBV/rido
Recommendations:
- The LGU to provide assistance to the IDPs until such time that durable
solutions are achieved
- Continuous monitoring considering that the City Government are conducting
dialogues with the affected IDPs
- Refresher on UNGPID
- Validation of the information provided by the partners
- Getting in touch with the families of the victims and referral of victims for
psychosocial intervention, and assistance in case filing
- Urge the Task Force Bangon Marawi & LGU to look into and address
protection issues
3. Recruitment of minors by
armed groups
Findings:
- In spite of several letter-request for data on the number of
minor rebel returnees, the military did not provide data
- As to previous engagements with the military, minor rebel
returnees belong to the IP community
Recommendations:
- Continuous info dissemination on IHL & GCRV
- Minor rebel returnees be turned over to M/C/DSWD for
processing and assistance
Other issues not discussed but
came out during the monitoring
 Continued detention of children/CICL in
jails/detention facilities
Recommendations/Actions:
- CHR-X to come up with human rights bulletin to
urge LGU to build and/or strengthen existing
Bahay Pag-asa
- Close coordination with RJJWC
- Coordinate with M/CSWDO
