Activity 2

To understand the differences between 1st, 2nd


and 3rd Party Audits

Instruction (Assessed activity–must be submitted to Tutor for marking)

1. Each team is given a set of cards with statements written out for
different types of audit: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Parties.
2. On the flip chart, draw a table like this:

3. Stick the cards in the first column according to the card number in
sequence.
4. As a team decide which statements are valid for which audit. Tick the
cell(s) in the corresponding audit column.
NB: You may also add additional qualifying statements to justify your
decision.
5. Select a team member to be prepared for presentation of answer to
the rest of the class.
6. Each team, is required to give their answer in a separate A4 paper
complete with team member names and date before submission to
the tutor. Alternatively, tutor will advise other option for submission.
The output from this exercise is part of the formal continuous
assessment, and will therefore be marked.

Timings:
5 minutes for briefing, 25 minutes to prepare, 10 minutes for presentation
and discussion. The tutor may choose one team to present their answers
and facilitate discussion.
