To bridge social, regional and gender gaps with the active
participation of community in the management of schools.

Programme with a clear time frame for universal elementary


education, allowing children to learn about their natural
environment, both spiritually and materially.

To inculcate value-based learning to provide children with an


opportunity to work for each other’s well being rather than to permit
mere selfish pursuits.
India's National Mission for Financial Inclusion, ensuring access to
financial services, like Banking Savings & Deposit Accounts,
Remittance, Credit, Insurance, Pension etc

Under the Jan-Dhan Yojna anyone who is Indian citizen of above


10 years and does not have a bank account can open an account with
zero balance.

The account holders will be given a Rupay debit card which can
be used at all ATMs for cash withdrawals and at most of the retail
outlets for making purchase transactions

The scheme also provides facility of accidental insurance cover


upto Rs.1 lac without any charge for the account holder.
The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act was previously
called The National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005.
This is a social security scheme that attempts to provide employment and
livelihood to rural labourers in the country by provididing any adult who registers
for rural employment a minimum job guarantee of 100 days each financial year.
This programme included non skilled workers, thus making it one of its kind in the
world.
The MGNREGA is an entitlement to work that every adult citizen holds. In case
such employment is not provided within 15 days of registration, the applicant
becomes eligible for an unemployment allowance.
The minimum wages initially determined were INR 100 a day but later revised to
range between INR 163 in Bihar to INR 500 in Kerela.
Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) is a safe motherhood intervention under the
National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) being implemented with the objective of
reducing maternal and neo-natal mortality by promoting institutional delivery
among the poor pregnant women.
JSY is a 100 % centrally sponsored scheme and it integrates cash assistance
with delivery and post-delivery care.
The scheme focuses on the poor pregnant woman with special dispensation for
states having low institutional delivery rates namely the states of Uttar Pradesh,
Uttaranchal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam,
Rajasthan, Orissa and Jammu and Kashmir.
Tracking Each Pregnancy: Each beneficiary registered under this Yojana should
have a JSY card. A micro-birth plan should be prepared mandatorily.
This will effectively help in monitoring Antenatal Check-up, and the post delivery
care.
 Eligibility for Cash Assistance: BPL Certification
The National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) is a National effort at ensuring
effective healthcare through a range of interventions at individual, household,
community, and most critically at the health system levels.

The goals of NRHM are outlined below:

•Reduction in Infant Mortality Rate and Maternal Mortality Ratio by at least 50% from
existing levels in next seven years.
•Universalize access to public health services for Women’s health, Child health, water,
hygiene, sanitation and nutrition.
•Prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases, including
locally endemic diseases.
•Ensuring population stabilization, gender and demographic balance.

•Promotion of healthy life styles


•Access to integrated comprehensive primary healthcare
Bharat Nirman is a a time-bound plan for rural infrastructure by the
Government of India in partnership with State Governments and Panchayat
Raj Institutions.
It has 5 components
• Water: Every habitation to have a safe source of drinking water. In
addition, all habitations which have slipped back from full
coverage to partial coverage due to failure of source and
habitations which have water quality problems to be addressed.
• Road: Every habitation over 1000 population and above (500 in hilly
and tribal areas) to be provided an all-weather road.
• Telephone Connectivity: Every village to be connected by telephone.
• Electricity: Every village should be able to avail electricity.
• Housing : To construct 60 lakh additional houses for poor under Indira
Awas Yojna.
