What is Metadata Framework?

What is Metadata Framework?


• The Metadata Framework (MDF) is a platform that can be used to build
new applications to add to your clients Successfactors solutions.
• Or To modify out of the box Successfactors applications that have been
built using MDF to fit your clients needs.
• Using MDF, you can easily extend existing Employee Central entities
and build Employee Central customer extensions for partners and
customers.
• MDF allows you to customize customer objects and related applications
logic as needed to meet your client needs.

What is Metadata Framework?

• Using MDF, you can easily extend existing Employee Central Entities
and build EC Customer extensions for partners and Customers.
• MDF allows you to customize customer objects and related applications
logic as needed to meet your clients needs.
• MDF, you can create and manage database object definitions, object
relationships, and object hierarchy.
• MDF also integrates with role based permission (RBP) – the
recommended security layer for successfactors HCM suite. This means
you can leverage RBP roles for secure your customers objects and
data.

• MDF provides a set of features that enables you to build end to end
applications.
• Using MDF you can also add objects to the MDF data model or modify
the behaviour of existing objects to suit your clients needs.
• Add Custom fields not available in instance
• Add Custom Parent Child associations catering to your clients instance.

• Add Instance specific business logic to an object using rules.
