MTZ: THERMAL
• EFFECT?
“Thermal effect” is a generic expression: the real
effects on tissue are:
‣ Ablation/necrosis, (depth of is determined by energy)
‣ globular coagulation around each spot (varies
according to the pulse duration). It stimulates
fibroblast proliferation and new collagen formation.
‣ massive heating of the treated area - tightening effect
depends on density, (percentage of skin treated by the
laser)

Among the various wavelengths
available, ATON uses one that is
highly absorbed on water and fat
(1470nm).
For this reason it needs lower
energy to create the micro thermal

• Laser Sweat Ablation (LSA) is a new local anaesthetic
procedure to stop sweating from the arm-pits (axillary
