 GENERAL INFORMATION
●Russia is located in the north
east of Europe and Asia, you
probably know about it and it
is the biggest country in the
world its surface is 17 million
of square km. Our capital is
Moscow and an important
city it is Saint Petersburg. Also
we have a very rich history
and we had a lot of
importancy in the formation
of present world.
 DEMOGRAPHY

●In Russia there are 144

million of people, of this
ammount the 58 percent are
russians, the 24 percent are
ucranians, the 12 percent are
tartars and the 6 percent are
others. The 56 percent of
population are women and 44
percent are men.
 POLITICS
● Russia is a federation and semipresidential,
with the president as the head of state and the
prime minister as the head of the government.
The president also is the head of the armed
forces. The functions of the government are
divided into ministers. The president live in the
kremlin.
 PRESENT SITUATION

●Now we have some military conflicts with Ukraine, and

we are also participating in the Syrian civil war. But
inside our country we have not any belic conflicts. We
have a high percent of poverty in comparation with
other european countries, but in our internal economy
we have many money. In conclusion we are developed
country.
 CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS
We are a very modern country but we preserve
our customs. Our religion is Orthodox but also
we have pagan holidays. We celebrate
Christmas and Easter but we have our own
holidays, like Maslenitsa and Ivan Kupala.
 UNHCR
The UNHCR is the United Nations´, sector
dedicated to the refugees crisis, Russia is
twenty fifth country in the ranking of number of
refugees – a high number. But also we are
planning to improve the quality of life of
refugees in our country, because the most
important thing is that they can enjoy of simple
rights.
 RUSSIA AND THE SDG´s
Our country does not generate any refugees, because we
have not any internal wars or causes of refugation, but
we make asylum to a high number of refugees. We
achieve the main SDG´s with our citizens - they enjoy
ofthe main human rights but something that is not
attractive into this topic is that our government is
communist.
 MIGRATION IN OUR COUNTRY

● About the inmigration and emigration we have

a very high number of both. The inmigration is
caused by the syrian and ukrainian conflicts
and the emigration because some european
countries are more attractive for cityzens than
ours, and most of them are refugees. In our
country there are a lot of refugees because the
countries in war are nearby.
 COLLABORATION WITH
MIGRATION CRISIS
● The EU is collaborating with our country to fight
with the migration crisis. We received a lot of
refugees because we are nearby to the countries
in conflicts but in comparation with other countries
which are nearby to that zone we have not many
refugees because our politics and country in
general are not very attractive, but we have not
any problems to allow more refugees it is
necessary.
