Leadership Shadowing

OR Charge Nurse
• I chose to shadow the charge because this is a role I have thought about
becoming, and I wanted to know what the charge nurse does in the OR.
• Got to see what charges role is in the OR
• Got to see how they plan who will go in each room
OR Nurse Educator
• I chose to shadow the nurse educator because I was curious of the different
things nurses in the OR can do. I also thought it would be a good way for
me to get to know more about the New Graduate program at Banner
• Got to see how closely they work with the New Grads
• Got to see the types of classes taught to the different specialties (CRNA)
Professional Activity Experience

BLS Certification
• Refreshed on how to perform adult, child, and infant CPR
• Refreshed on how to use an AED
• Taught me how to work with a 3 responder team by running through
scenarios
Stop the Bleed Class
• Learned how to respond during traumatic event
• Helps during everyday life, you never know what may happen

• Got to learn about different possible reactions to different anesthetics
• Also got to hear the opinions of CRNAs on the issue
