Risk assessment
• A risk assessment is simply a careful examination
of whatever, in your work or workplace, could
cause harm to people, so that you can determine
what precautions or controls are necessary to
prevent harm. The intention is to prevent
accidents or work-related ill-health in the
workplace. The Control Measures, that are
determined to be necessary to adequately
safeguard against accidents or ill-health must be
specified in writing.

• General use: Base coat for vacuum metallizing system

Prevention

Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed.
Store locked up
FIREFIGHTING MEASURES
a. Suitable (Unsuitable) extinguishing media
Dry chemical, carbon dioxide, regular foam extinguishing agent, spray
Avoid use of water jet for extinguishing

b.Special protective action for firefighter


Withdraw immediately in case of rising sound from venting safety devices or
discoloration of tank.
Notify you fire station and inform the location of the fire and characteristics hazard.
Wear appropriated protective equipment.
Keep containers cool with water spray.
HANDLING AND STORAGE

• a. Precaution for safe handling



• Dealing only with a well-ventilated place.
• Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood.
• Operators should wear antistatic footwear and clothing
• Do not inhale steam prolonged or repeated.
• Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace.

• b. Condition for safe storage, including any incompatibilities


• Check regularly for leaks.
• Do not apply direct heat.
• Save applicable laws and regulations.
• Please pay attention to incompatibilities materials and conditions to avoid.
PROCESS FLOW

• General process
• In moulding section, moulds are created by using
moulding machine. Different types of polymers are
used for creating moulding of different color.
• After moulding, moulds are passed to input unit and
cleaned
• Basecoat of moulds is carried out.
• Coated moulds are passed to curing process for drying.
• Metalizing of moulds is done.
• Quality check is done as per standard.
HANDLING WHILE TRANSPORTATION
FROM STORE ROOM TO CLEAN ROOM
Employees don’t wait for two minutes before entering the store
room and this is increasing the risk of inhalation of vapours mist.
Respiratory protection is at risk and lead to fatal accident.

Trolley support at the lower side of trolley is missing and it is


increasing the risk of sliding of containers of chemicals while
transportation from store room to clean room due to gravitation pull
and jerk motion

while moving through inclined planes.See image below.


Operator awareness should be increased regarding not wearing antistatic footwear and
clothing according to MSDS of major chemicals.
Potential risk of inhalation of vapours and accidental damage of chemical containers
mainly lacquer and risk of fire due to leakage and personal protection.
Potential risk of fire will be reduced in store room.
