• For medical students, patients are sources of communication training. Such as
training of history taking and physical examination.
• In this act, the training should be done in a way that safe for the patient. Even
better if it is beneficial for the patients. This is an education-based relationship
which done with respect in understanding way.

INTERNSHIP?
• A doctor should have attentive listening skills, empathy, and use open-ended
questions to improve doctor-patient communication which can increase
patient involvement.
• The doctor should facilitate discussion with patients and try to build conducive
environment. Doctor should act honest, proffesional, smart, confidence, polite
that can gain patient’s trust.
• So that the patient can tell us everything what they are experiencing without
any negative thought.

• Information that should be received from intern is
– identity of the intern,
– informed consent to patient before doing some medical examination,
– explanation that we are an intern but we will try our best to do perform any
procedures with competency,
– clear information about their condition without using medical jargon including
treatment should be done to treat patients,
– etc.

• Jalin hubungan yang baik dan bersikap ramah dengan pasien selama melakukan

• As an intern, i'd like my supervisor to introduce me as a doctor who is capable
to deal with patients' problem.
• Because it will build the trust between the interns and patients.
• It also increase the confidence of the interns which is really important.
• Besides, patients need doctors who are confidence and looks smart to take
care of them.
