Reducing Adjective Clauses To Adjective Phrases: Introduction

Reducing means there’s less of something. In here we

shorten an adjective clause to get an adjective phrase.(
Mengurangi artinya ada sesuatu yang kurang. Di sini kita mempersingkat klausa kata sifat
untuk mendapatkan frasa kata sifat).

Remember that a clause has a subject and verb. But a phrase

has not a subject and verb. (Ingat bahwa klausa memiliki subjek dan kata
kerja. Tetapi sebuah frasa tidak memiliki subjek dan kata kerja.)
Reducing Adjective Clauses To Adjective Phrases: Introduction

We only can reduce an adjective clause when the relative pronoun is the
subject.
Kami hanya dapat mengurangi klausa kata sifat ketika kata ganti
relatif adalah subjek.

And we can only reduce the adjective clause when the relative
pronouns are WHICH, THAT, WHO.
Dan kita hanya bisa mengurangi klausa kata sifat ketika kata ganti
relatifnya adalah yang, itu,siapa.
Changing An Adjective Clause To An
Adjective Phrase
There are two ways to
change an adjective
clause to an adjective
phrase.(Ada dua cara untuk
mengubah klausa kata sifat menjadi
frase kata sifat)
