FUEL INJECTION

INTRODUCTION
Fuel injection pipe are used to
supply fuel from fuel pump to
fuel injectors in diesel engines.

Fuel injection pipes ensure the


continuity of fuel supply
through it.
PROCESS
First of all, inner diameter of pipes are verified by entering a
pin which is known as pin-plug gauge . The size of pin-plug
gauge is nearly less to the inner diameter of the pipes. I.D.
verification of the pipes helps in maintaining homogeneity
and reduce the chances of misleading . It helps in separating
the required pipes from the bulk quantity. It ensure accuracy
and reliability.
FLEARING
Flaring is consider to be a type of forging operation,
and is usually a cold working operation. The tool used
to flare pipes consists of a die that grips the pipes
and the mandrel that is forced into the end of the
tube to form the flare.

STAMPING
After flaring one side stamping is done to locate
or represent company identity .
ASSEMBLE OF COMPONENT
After flaring assembly and stamping of
component take place. Component is assembled
weather it is a nut or any other one
FLEARING ON SECOUND SIDE
After assembly of components or nut or desire
accessory flaring on the second side is also done
to hold the assembly and act as a stopper. After
flaring both side assembly cannot be removed
or missed placed.
I.D VERIFICATION
After flaring second side . Again I.D verification
is done. To ensure that there is no uneven I.D.
occurs due to reaming and flaring side.
ALLEALING
It is a heat treatment that alters the physical and
chemical properties of a material to increase the
its ductility and to make it more workable. This
process is slowly letting it cool to the room
temperature In still air or quickly by quenching
or applying flux.
POLISHING
After annealing the pipe losses its shine and lustre properly on
the isolated area. To remain its shine polishing is done. It is done
on the machine which resemble as grinding machine. Wire of
polishing brush is usually made up of brass or copper. Generally
brass wire brush is used in polishing because it leaves no effect
on the plating .
WIRE PASSING
In wire passing wire is pass through the pipes to check blockage
with the help of machine. Wire use o checking blockage depend
upon the internal diameter of pipe. Diameter of wire to be passed
should be 4 to 5mm less then the inner diameter of pipe whose
blockage is to be checked.
FLUSHING
During flushing operation calibrated oil of grade-2 is passed for
15 to 30 second or as per customer requirements. Flushing is
done to remove dust particles, and metal chips. Flushing is done
with the help of machine which is circulates the oil flow through
pipes.
BENDING
After flushing pipe is bended in desire shape as
per customer drawing.
PROFILE CHECKING AND
CLUSTER MAKING
After bending, profile of bending pipes are
checked on the fixture. It increase accuracy and
reliability of the work done.
FITMENT
Fitment is most important operation to know
the accuracy of the product. It ensure that the
product is par customer description and fulfil all
the conditions of the customer. Fitment is
checked on fixture.
PROFILE PROJECTOR
Profile projector is use for Checking the internal
diameter, External diameter, flare head O.D ,
Flare angle, flare root radius & tip O.D
FLEARING PROFILE CHECKING
REPORT
MILIPORE TEST
It is used to measure the amount of dust particle in the
component.
Chemical used tetra cloro ethane is used to remove the
dust particle in the internal diameter of the pipe.
