REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9211 (THE TOBACCO REGULATION ACT OF 2003) – THE LAW
GOVERNING TOBACCO PRODUCTION, DISTRIBUTION, AND USE.
• SECTION 5. SMOKING BAN IN PUBLIC PLACES
• SECTION 9. MINIMUM AGE SALES – Under this act, it shall be
unlawful
oFor any retailer of tobacco products to sell or distribute tobacco
products to any minor.
oFor any person to purchase cigarettes/tobacco products from a minor.
oFor a minor to sell or buy cigarettes or any tobacco product.
oFor a minor to smoke cigarettes or any other tobacco products.

• SECTION 10. SALE OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS WITHIN SCHOOL


PERIMETERS
oThe sale or distribution of tobacco products is prohibited within 100
meters from any point of the perimeter of a school, public playground,
or other facility frequented particularly by minors.
REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8749 (PHILIPPINE CLEAN AIR ACT OF 1999)
• CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 5, SECTION 24
Smoking inside a public building or an enclosed public place including
public vehicles and other means of transport is hereby prohibited under this
act.
THE CLASS WILL BE DIVIDED INTO FOUR GROUPS.
EACH GROUP WILL BE GIVEN A SITUATION AND METHOD
TO PRESENT REGARDING AWARENESS ABOUT CIGARETTE
SMOKING IN CERTAIN PLACES.
YOU WILL BE GIVEN 5 MINUTES TO PREPARE AND EACH
GROUP WILL BE GIVEN 1 MINUTE TO PRESENT IN FRONT OF
THE CLASS.
