as we pay a visit to two of the historical
places in the Philippines!

CASA REAL BARASOAIN
Razo̒n fundamental…
An unbeknownst individual once said that art is a diverse range
of human activities in creating visual, auditory or performing
artifacts (artworks), expressing the author’s imaginative, conceptual
ideas, or technical skill intended to be appreciated for their beauty
and emotional power.
In relation to the subject Art Appreciation, this PowerPoint
presentation covers some images and information with regards to
some wondrous artworks which can be found in Casa Real and
Barasoain Church - Malolos, Bulacan.

Before highlighting the presentation of the different
performing artifacts, here’s a brief heads-up about the locations
where these captivating magnum opuses are being exhibited.
Casa Real was built in 1580 and was established as the First
Government Structure of Malolos. It is now a museum serving
as a final repository of existing memorabilia and relics of some
artworks.

Barasoain, on the other hand, is a Roman Catholic church built
in 1888. It has earned the title “Cradle of Democracy in the East,
the most religious building in the Philippines”.
In lieu of these, the succeeding images are the artworks that can
be found on the aforementioned sites.
So, enjoy the panorama and learn at the same time.

 This is located at the


plaza of Barasoain
Church.
IMPRENTA PRESS
 This printing machine used by
the National Printing Press of
the First Philippine Republic
where the revolutionary papers
of La Independencia, El Heraldo
de La Revolucion, Kalayaan and
Kaibigan ng Bayan were printed.
KALAKALANG GALYON
 From 1565 – 1815, the
Galleon Trade contributed to
the change of culture,
language and environment for
both Philippines and Mexico.
BAYBAYIN
 It is an ancient script used
primarily by the Tagalog people.
It is an indigenous Indic script
that has been widely used in
traditional Tagalog domains.
REPRODUKSYON NG NOLI ME
TANGERE NI JOSE RIZAL
 It is a novel written by Jose
Rizal during the colonization
of the country by Spain to
describe perceived inequities
of the Spanish catholic priests
and the ruling government.
BAJO LA CAMPANA
 In English, it means “under the bell”

 A condition set by the Spanish


government to the people, with respect
to their freedom to live where they
wish, provided that they were within the
hearing of the Church bells.
LA REPUBLIKA FILIPINA
 The statue symbolizes
homeland with freedom and
saying coined by Isabelo
Tampingco, late 19th century.
DON FELIPE CALDERON STATUE
 He is the father of the
Malolos Congress.
EMILIO AGUINALDO’S CARRIAGE

 Aguinaldo used the convent


as his office while he was in
Malolos.

numerous uprisings
launched by the Filipinos
against their Spanish
colonizers.

 This narrates the events
that occurred during the

 This centers on the
establishment of the
