 Single acting intensifier

• It consist of Low pressure chamber of

comparatively bigger area and a high pressure
chamber of small cross sectional area.
• It has piston with two active areas
• Larger end of piston is in low pressure
chamber and smaller end of piston is in high
pressure area
 Double acting intensifier

• Consist of large piston with rod extending to

both side of piston.
Air oil acting intensifier
