Objective
 To find Corrosion Resistance of SS304 using Electro Chemical Techniques
such as Tafel, EIS and Linear Polarization.

 To see the effect of corrosion inhibitor coatings on surface of steel using

Stearic acid and cerium nitrate.
Experiment
 Standard 3 electrode Electrochemical cell was used with RDE

 A 5mm diameter SS304 is used as working electrode

 Ag/AgCl(3.5M Kcl) as reference and Pt as counter electrode

 All the experiments were done in 0.6 M Nacl using IVIUM

Observations
 High Impedance at OCP
 Impedance is increasing from anodic potential towards ocp
 High impedance at ocp
 Decreasing from ocp to cathodic potential.

 high frequencies : double layer capacitance

 low frequencies : Rp dominates
