What is recruitment?
It’s a set of procedures used in the process of calling
people that are suitable for a certain type of activity.
It’s a concept widely used in workplaces, in addition to
other practices where it is required to fill a certain
number of vacancies

Are the places where the labor force is available to fill the vacancies
They may be:
• Internal: The company tries to fill the vacancy with personnel of the
company itself
• External: The company recruits external candidates, not belonging to the
company

ADVERTISING EXAMPLES:

• References from other employees • trade fairs

• Newspaper ads • job exchange

• Educational institutions

Job description
A job description or JD is a written narrative that
describes the general tasks, or other related duties,
and responsibilities of a specific position.

Development
HRD Practices
Human Resource Development (HRD) is a process by which the
employees of an organization are helped, in a continuous, planned
way, to:
○ Acquire or sharpen capabilities required to perform various
functions associated with their present or expected future
roles
○ Develop their general cap-abilities as individuals and discover
and exploit their potentials for their own and/or organizational
development purposes.

Dealing with staff
problems
Employees with problems often turn into problem employees.
Whether a worker has difficulty getting along with colleagues or
faces challenges in their personal life, the work environment will run
more smoothly if you help your employee to get their problems
under control.
Deal with employee problems quickly, or you risk greater issues
such as declining employee morale, poor productivity and even
legal trouble.

Appraisal interview
An appraisal interview is a formal discussion process between an
employee and their manager.
In an appraisal interview, the employer and the employee discuss
the performances of the individual and the key areas of
improvement and how the employee can grow through a feedback
mechanism.
