2Kbps High-Speed Signaling RB

 Overview

Objective:
To reduce RRC Setup Time by changing Signaling RB bit rate from 13.6Kb/s to 27.2Kb/s.

This feature enables the system to use the 27.2 kbps Signaling Radio Bearer (SRB) when it establishes the
RRC connection, and recovers the 3.4Kbps SRB after RAB is established. Compared with 13.6kbps SRB, the
27.2 kbps SRB can reduce the call setup time delay.

Results:
Call Setup Time reduced by 173ms as observed in DT field results.
Also clear improvement in RRC & RAB Establishment Time is observed from OSS KPIs.

These are the initial results based on hour level granularity. Detailed benchmark on daily level shall be shared
later
