THEME AND WORDS
TAKDO
• Comes from the Old Bisaya word that means
to come together to rise and fall together
• Which coincides with our want to unite the
med schools
WORDS
• We have chosen the words to represent our
want to pull together all Med schools.
• It is our aim to unite them to produce and
have an air of brotherhood and camaraderie.

General Rules
• An official document shall be sent to each school where the
picture and photocopy of the player’s study load will be
placed.
• A separate document will be used for the medical
clearance and the waiver.
• All players will be required to register on the first day of the
event. The registration time will be announced; failure to
register of one member would lead to losing the first game
of that team.
• It is imperative that your players use their real last name in
their jerseys.
Amazing Race
• A minimum of 3 members and a maximum of 5
members
• There shall be 3 active/ playing members and 2
reserves in case of injuries and unforeseen
events.
• There are 10 stations around Sacred Heart
School- Ateneo de Cebu.
• Cellphones and other devices are strictly not to
be used.
Athletics
• A minimum of 25 members to 30 members
– 10 male members
– 10 female members
– 10 reserves
• A maximum of 4 events per player
• All runners must be present fifteen (15)
minutes before the start of their event.
Badminton
• There must be a minimum of 6 players and a
maximum of 8 players from each school.
• There shall be no substitution of players once a
game has already started.
• Players for singles (male/female) may play for the
mixed doubles and vice versa.
• Venue will be announced, or voted upon by the
captains when captains’ meeting is held on
January 11, 2018.
Basketball
• A basketball team is comprised of 5 players
during a game, but can have a minimum of 10
and a maximum of 15 players .
• Players are required to be on the court 15
minutes before the next match is over.
• After the next match is over the succeeding
team may warm up prior to their match.
Chess
• There should be 4 players per team with 1 in reserve.
• This event is a co-ed event.
• The playing members of each team must be listed in the
order of their specific board assignments which shall be
strictly observed throughout the tournament and will be
submitted to the Organizing Committee the properly filled-
up Official Line-up Form on or before the start of Round 1.
• All players shall maintain their designated board assignments
during the entire duration of the tournament. In case of
incapacity of the Board 1 player, the Board 2 player may be
elevated to play on Board 1 and so on.
Dota 2
• Each school may be represented by at most two (2) teams
(Team A and Team B).
• Each team must have at least five (5) players and at most six
(6) players.
• 6th player will serve as the official sub or stand-in for the
team.
• Players must be bonafide students of their respective schools.
• Players not included in the final roster submitted will not be
allowed to play.
• VENUE: GAMER’S DUNGEON at R. Duterte Street,
Banawa
Flag Football
• There will be a minimum of 35 players and maximum of
40 players.
• Before every match, the captains will approach the
officials’ table to collect the flags.
• Please take care of your flags for there will be
corresponding fine of 4,000 pesos to the team that
loses a flag.
• There should be 2 female players at any given moment
in each play.
• If a female scores, she is awarded one extra point.
Larong Pinoy
• Each school must have a player pool of 25-30
players.
• This is done in order to stream line the order
of things.
• The host school shall inform the participating
schools for any paraphernalia or needed items
for the event.
Scrabble
• A team must be composed of 4 regular players and 2
reserved players.
• This is a co-ed sport.
• No sliding down of a player in his/her original board
assignment but a player may play in higher boards
without overlapping teammates.
• Default time shall be Fifteen (15) minutes after the
official start of the game.
• If there are any infractions or protests, an arbiter will
be present to address the issue.
Soccer
• Seven (7) players a side
• Maximum of 20 players per team
• Players must wear their official uniform (shirt).
Any player not wearing the official uniform will
not be allowed to play.
• Each uniform must have a number. Duplicate
numbered uniforms will not be allowed to play.
• Please remind your players to use real last name
Swimming
• FINA, PASA rules will be applied. A team maybe composed of a maximum
of eight (8) males with (2) reserves and eight (8) females with (2)
reserves per school.
• For a total number of 20 players
• A swimmer is allowed to participate in five (5) events with or without
relays.
• Team entries should be made using entry forms, indicating the best time
for seeding. To be passed 1 hr before the swimming competition start.
• Maximum of one entrant in every event per school.
• Competition will be in time – finals format.
• Proper swimming attire is a must (swimming trunks for men and bathing
suit for women- could include leggings)
Table Tennis
• Each line shall compose of a minimum of three
(3) players and a maximum of six (6) players.
• Total number of players will be 8-12 players
• Best of 5 rounds.
• Competing teams who failed to report to the
official referee within 15 minutes after the
scheduled game automatically loses the game.
Quiz Bowl
• The participating medical school shall send one team composed of five (5)
players and a coach.
• The participants must be a bona fide medical student of their respective
school. Application form provided must be duly and completely filled in and
submitted on or before TBA.
• All participants shall wear their Medlympics shirt/college shirt/school team
shirt.
• During the contest proper, only the participants shall be allowed inside the
venue. There will be a designated area for the coaches.
• All electronic gadgets are prohibited.
• Assembly for all teams will be 8:30AM. Teams with participants who will come
beyond the assembly time will be disqualified. The contest will start at
9:00AM.
Ultimate Frisbee
• Each team must have 30-35 players
• 4:3 format (4 Boys: 3 Girls) on the line
• 10 stall count
• “SOTG - Spirit of the Game is at the very core
of Ultimate”
Volleyball
• Each team must have at least 10-15 members.
• Players must be wearing the official uniform.
• Wear the proper attire during the game. T-shirt
must have number at the back (Liberos can be
considered).
• Competing teams will report to the scorer 15
minutes before the schedule time. Ten (10)
minutes grace period after the last game shall be
given before forfeiture will be declared.
Yell
• Yells and cheers must always promote the team they represent
• Everyone in their seating section is encouraged to join in on the cheer
• Loudness and clearness of the words is encouraged
• Profanity and other inappropriate language are strictly prohibited
• Use of drums and noise makers will be allowed but microphones and
megaphones will not be permitted
• Rhymes and clever use of phrase are encouraged
• Be loud as possible using the voice of your squad
• Prepare a yell or cheer that has a minimum length of 2 minutes and a
maximum length of 5 minutes
