Case study 1

 In this case study we faced lots of conflict or dilemma whether it’s a ethical
or unethical.so we start one by one.
 On a 1st case study there is minimum waging issue between subcontractor to
PM in Mountain Construction company.so we have to discuss is it right or
wrong.
 Ans- NO. Because it is good for pm as well as company but PM doesn’t
interfere with the real issue.
Case study 2

 In same company an accident was happened to two carpenters but

Superintendent did not report the accident for maintain safety record. so we
have to discuss is it ethical or not.
 Ans- no. it is good for pm as well as company because by hiding the issue they
had not to pay insurance amount unnecessarily.
Case study 3

 In same company Due to soil contamination by the fuel spillage from tractor
foreman didn’t report.so we have to discuss is it ethical or not.
 Ans- No, because foreman was saving himself as well as the company from
facing legal action as well as fines due to violation of environmental act.
Case study 4

 In same company due to some over budgeting superintendent manged the

situation by transferring labour work pakage ,so we have to discuss is it
ethical or not.
 Ans- No. PM had a good managerial skill but he had poor technical skill.
Case study 5

 In same company due to some on duty job project engineer includes his
personal expenses into project expenses, so we have to discuss is it ethical or
not.
 Ans- No. Project engineer should not add his personal expenses.
Case study 6

 In Pacific constructor there is minimum waging issue between subcontractor

to project engineer. like plumber and electrician were enlisted as helper.so
we have to discuss is it right or wrong.
 Ans- No, In that situation either we need to sort out the situation as per
correct payroll data or provide minimum wages.
Case study 7

 In Eastern construction company due to some on duty job project engineer

paying his personal expenses through company’s credit card, so we have to
discuss is it ethical or not.
 Ans- No, we have to pay our own expenses through our own cash or own card.
 Later he could claim from company for food expenses.

 In Western construction company Due to minimum soil contamination

contractor reuse that soil beneath the parking lot.so we have to discuss is it
ethical or not.
 Ans- No, as the soil contamination was minimum we should deal the situation
as per environmental aspect.as contractor view he should report to the higher
authority & wait for their order.

 In ACME company Due to minimum productivity Superintendent appointed

extra labour and finally projects comes to under budget.so we have to discuss
is it ethical or not.
 Ans- Yes it Is ethical .
 As project goes on Superintendent observe the Current Scenario and
implemented something for betterment. Finally project comes in the under
budget.

 In ACME company Due to minimum productivity Superintendent appointed

extra labour and finally projects comes to under budget.so we have to discuss
is it ethical or not.
 Ans- Yes it is ethical .
 As project goes on Superintendent observe the Current Scenario and
implemented something for betterment .finally project comes under budget.
Case study 11

 In some company an accident had happened to concrete finisher but

Superintendent did not report the accident for thinking finisher could work in
project office. so we have to discuss is it ethical or not.
 Ans- No. We need to take decision as per real scenario instead of own
perception, because it is totally unethical.
