In this study , the purpose of the researchers
is to know or identify whether of those mentioned
factors could really affect the students’ technical
abilities during hands-on training and could
these factors applicable to the incoming

STATEMENT OF
THE PROBLEM
This study aims to find out the factors that affect
student’s technical abilities during hands-on training.

Specifically, aims to answer the following question;

1.Is there a significant effect to students’ technical abilities in

terms of:
1.1 Lacks of Computer Skills
1.2 School-based factor
1.3 Low-self Efficacy
2. To what extent is the level of effect of the
factors to;
1.1 Grade 11 & 12 Computer Programming
students,
1.2 Grade 11 & 12 Computer System
Servicing students,
1.3 Grade 11 Contact Center Servicing
students and,
1.4 Animation 12 students
3. Is there a significant difference between the
response of SHS respondents?

4. Based on findings, what action plan can be

developed to improve students’ technical abilities during
hands-on training?
REVIEW AND RELATED
LITERATURE
METHODOLOGY
This chapter describes the methods
used in this study. It includes Research
Design, Research Setting, Research
Respondents, Research Instruments,
Data Collection, Ethical Consideration,
and Data Analysis.
Research Design
This study will utilize a descriptive
method of research to determine the factors that
affect the students’ technical abilities during their
hands-on training. Descriptive correlational research
is concerned with the description of data, their
characteristics and correlations (Croswell, 2005).
Research Setting
This study will be conducted in Guipos
National High School. Guipos National High School is a
Deped Managed Monograde Public Secondary School
where it is located at Purok 2, Poblacion Guipos
Zamboanga Del Sur. Guipos National High School has
chosen to be our research setting in this study because
there are some students who are struggling during
their hands-on training, so as researcher we would like
to know how they managed their technical abilities.
Research Respondents
The respondents of this study will be the
Grade 11 and 12 Computer Programming Students,
Contact Center Services Students, Computer
System Services Students.

Data Collection
The survey question aims to be a guide to the basic
steps of survey research and a useful references tools (suskie,
1992).
After accomplishing all the guidelines, the researchers
were distributed the questionnaire to the respondents to determine
the factors that affect students’ technical abilities during hands-on
training. The researchers were explained thoroughly the system of
the study and should have a common understanding with the
respondents. They shall be given enough time to answer the survey
questionnaire.
Ethical Consideration
To maintain the ethical aspect of the study, the
researcher put more attention and emphasis to the
element of ethical consideration. Upon giving the
questionnaire to the respondents the researcher was
inform the participating that their participation is
voluntary and they will not force to participate. No
harsh words and their identity will be hide for their
safety and everything will be kept confidentially.
Data Analysis
The following statistical tools were
being used to gathered data.

Mean and Standard Deviation. These

descriptive statistical tools will be used in the
4-point rating scale.
