 WHAT IS GOVERNMENT?

are connected by some shared activity, interest, or quality

The Philippines is a republic with a

presidential form government wherein
power is equally divided among its three
branches: executive, legislative, judicial.
The government seeks to act in the best
interests of its citizens through this
system of check and balance.
 AUTHORITY AND CONTROL MECHANISMS

• Before jumping into the concept of control, we must

remove any misconceptions between the following terms
(in light of the government): power, authority, and
legitimacy.

many ills of obtaining documents or I.D.s in the country
is that it is sluggish. They will collect
data such as full name, sex. date and place of birth,
blood type, current address, nationality,
front-facing photograph, full set of fingerprints, and an
iris scan.
 CONCLUSION

The government has a very diverse toolset of

control mechanisms over society.
