Understanding the perception of the electrical product selling


outlets who stocks electrical products in North Kolkata and
creating awareness for Clair electronics products among them.

INTRODUCTION
I have been assigned a task as a project related to customer satisfaction. The project
title is “Understanding the perception of the electrical product selling outlets
who stocks electrical products in North Kolkata and creating awareness for Clair
electronics products among them” This project report throws light on the
reasons behind customer’s decision of choosing electrical products.

My work has been divided into two parts-


• Consumer survey: I had done electrical product selling outlets survey at North
Kolkata, Chandini, Ravindra Sarni by making a questionnaire for doing a research
& sampling to collect their feedbacks about the Clair electronics, product.

• Generating revenue: I have generated revenues for my area by selling led
products by doing some operational activities, solving problems. During the
internship period, I have learnt about market reality and. I have learnt how to
deal with customer, how to convince customer, how to increase sales, In this way
I have learnt a lot about selling and I have generated revenue rupees 40,000

Sampling Design: All retailers of North Kolkata
(I)Population: All the retailers and distributors who are selling
electrical products in North Kolkata

(III) Technique: Convenience sampling.

FINDINGS

 Well we are aware of the various LED companies and their products. And the
fact that Most of the people are unaware about Clair LED so there were
hesitations when it came down to choose its products.
 Another heartening trend was in terms of distributor and retailers in the market
that they all asked for the company offer and scheme.
 Most of the retailers want to purchase products from super distributor.
 In LED brand Clair has the lowest sell because of unpopularity in North Kolkata,
Chandini, Ravindra Sarni
 Visibility is not so good.
 The regularity of company person visit to the outlet is not so good.
Recommendation
• Replace damages and expires.
• Ensure product delivery as per order.
• Introduce paid display.
• Provide visibility board.
• Focus more on small outlets.
• Focus more on led t-5.
• Improve sales man consistency.
• Extend credit to retail outlets for ten days.
ACHIEVEMENT

• Found 9 new electrical outlets.


• Covered the areas which were not covered before.
• Generated revenue of Rs.40,000 from Selling Clair products.
• Investigated damage and replacement problem and informed
service department.
CONCLUSION

It is evident from the findings that the awareness and detained knowledge
about Clair led amongst retailers and potential customers are very low.
The company needs to strongly focus on these. As all retailers and
potential customers want replacement, warranty/guaranty. The company
should consistently provide such facility. The retailers have stated that
they want demo products but don’t get it. The company should ensure
that demo products supplied to the retailers. The company should extend
credit note to the retailers for ten days. The company person should visit
the outlets on regular basis with demo products. It is found that those
who know about Clair LED light perceive that it is good.
