Important of learning English for Engineering Student
 Introduction
English language is the language that was once the language of speakers in
England, has been the language of the people of the entire world irrespective of
their nationality and community. The English language has been globalized and
this language use has been widespread. Communication skills are important for
an engineer who hopes to carry out of his professional practice in the global
areas. Engineering communication services basically establish several core
elements such as the envy in the English language and the fundamentals of
graphic communication. If we think about the application of the English
language in our resident background also, it inhabits an important position in
our present education system from school level up to university level.
 Why is the importance of
English in engineering?

For non-native English users, English is very important because it is

widely spoken all around the world. Knowing English allows people to
enjoy their life and work no matter where they are. Most of the
engineering graphs are also marked in English. For non-native English
speakers, unfortunately, most of the engineers speak English as the first
language or the working language. In order to understand and
coordinate with their colleagues and accomplish their projects fluently,
engineers have to speak good English.
 EDUCATION SYSTEM

The other important factor is the traditional education system which

affects English language learning and acquisition. Basically it requires
four skills such as Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Students
are being trained in reading and writing for long ages and listening and
speaking skills are neglected and ignored which are very important.
 The Problem of the Research

The problem of the research could be defined as an attempt at

determining just how important and necessary the English language is
to the students at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and what their
opinions on the language itself are. One of the crucial issues being
examined is why the students choose English over other languages, in
this case namely German, French and Russian. It is also significant to
find out if and why they think that English is necessary. Among other
things, some of the more important questions to be answered are how
much English the students need and what the right mixture of general
and specific English is for the students of mechanical engineering
 Use of English for Seeking Job

Even after the achievement of their studies, the students of engineering

need to have satisfactory prescience in English for getting involved in
the procedure of Job seeking. The positions for the jobs are often start
announced in English. For understanding the statements also, they need
to possess the ability to perceive what information the vacancy
statements contain. Afterwards being able to understand what the
statement of Job vacancy means what necessities they need to meet for
being readable for the empty post. Furthermore, they have to apply for
the post lying available in the anxious company. As they make
themselves for applying for the job.
 Conclusion

The use of English language is widespread in the career of the

engineering students in both the global and local contexts. English
language being the sole language of communication in the
international arena, there is no other alternative language that the
engineers may opt for. An engineers cannot survive without English in
the present global as well as local contexts.
