 I was born in Southern California in the 1970’s
 I am a third generation native Californian
 I lived in the same house my entire childhood
 I am the youngest of two children
 I lived minutes from Disneyland and the Beach
 We immigrated from a firth (county) called Moray in Scotland
 Moray is pronounced Murray in Gaelic
 The first Murray to come to America was Francis Murray 1664
 My ancestors were ranchers that raised sheep
 I am a Christian
 I grew up in a non-denominational Church and as an adult became a member of
Saddleback Church in Lake Forest California
 My religious traditions include celebrating Christmas and Easter
 My parents were my Bible study leaders
 My faith is what guides my daily life
 I was a child of the 80’s
 The video game generation
 MTV launched in 1981
 AYSO came to Southern California making soccer the sport to play
 Generation X- also known as the “in between generation”
 Defining moment-Fall of the Twin Towers
 I grew up in a home without a computer
 I am a young mom having both of my children by the age of 22
 This was a dramatic life changing experience
 This roll has defined my whole adult life
 I am a soccer mom
 This has been my hardest job and biggest joy
 I have taught preschool for 10 years
 I am passionate about helping young children develop a love for learning
 I currently work at Cornerstone Christian Academy
 I am a life long learner

1. Learning Style- Hands on involvement, Show me-Visual learning


2. Belief System- Getting my child involved in an active team sport and
promoting team work, good sportsmanship and to put forth your best
effort.
3. Activity- Putting together a soccer scrimmage during a P.E. class.
4. Cultural Contributions- World Cup, MLS soccer, Club soccer, AYSO
5. History of the Group- In 1884 the American Football Association was
organized in Newark, New Jersey, although soccer goes back as far as the
1620’s with the Pilgrims and Native Americans playing a form of soccer.
6. Holiday from this Group- Around the world several countries
including Columbia have declared the World Cup games a National
Holiday.
