Atlas Cart Review

Introduction
• We bought this cart to meet an urgent need and accepted Atlas’s cart
version of the sampling manifold. They offer a different cabinet
version.
• Questions:
• If this is the accepted hardware for some customers, can we in fact use this
for AMC?
• Is a combination of metal plumbing and general purpose valves acceptable?
• Is there any use to this cart and/or the sampling manifold (alone or together)?
Cart Pic’s (Hansen - Hardware)
Looks decent
• Has sampling manifold
• Has Pump
• Has UPS (not shipped to
USA)
• Electrical layout looks
okay
• Box at top houses PC
Cart Pic’s (Hansen - Software)
Also looks decent
• Has recipe setup
• MODBUS-capable
Cart Pic’s (Warrington)
• Clean layout
• Omron PLC = good brand
• Mean Well PS = Unknown
quality, may be okay

• Questionable material choices?

• Details on next slides
Cart Pic’s (Warrington)
• General purpose valve selected
(i.e. not high-purity).
• OK for some AMC customers?
Cart Pic’s (Warrington)
• Teflon fittings externally, but lines run to metal valve manifold inside
• OK for some AMC customers?
Cart Pic’s (Warrington)
• Advantech ARK 2120 computer
• Software only loads when
sampling manifold detected
• Multiple user levels
Cart Pic’s (Warrington)
• Cumbersome S/W
interface (would get
easier to use after
initial learning
curve)
Cart Pic’s (Warrington)
• May have more
flexibility than
obvious, but history
and real-time
screens don’t look
very user friendly
Cart Pic’s (Warrington)
• Main screen has most of the
relevant info and shows valve
sequencing.
