Action Research
“ The process by which practitioners
attempt to study their problems
scientifically in order to guide, correct and
evaluate their decision and action is what,
a number of people have called Action
Research.”
Stephen M. Corey
“Action Research is organized,
investigative activity, aimed toward the
study and constructive change of given
Endeavour by individual or group
concerned with change and
improvement.”

“Action Research is focused on immediate
application, not on the development of
theory or on general application. It has
placed its emphasis on a problem here
and now in a local setting. Its findings are
to be evaluated in terms of local
applicability, not universal validity.”
John W. Best
