INTRODUCTION
• The usage of internet enabled mobile phones is a 21st century experience which
covers various operations.
• Mobile phones are increasingly becoming part of the daily life of today’s youth
students. This research work examines mobile phone usage both the males and
females.
• The unfavourable outcomes associated with increased mobile phone usage are
addiction, increased chances of low selfesteem, anxiety or depression, bullying,
eye strain, road traffic accident.
• In the last 20 years, worldwide mobile phone subscriptions have grown from
12.4 million to over 5.6 billion, penetrating about 70% of the global population.
Dents, lack of sleep, headache and many more.
• On 31 may 2011 the world health organization confirmed that mobile phone use indeed
represents a health menace, and classified mobile phone radiation as a carcinogenic
hazard, possibly carcinogenic to humans.

ETHICAL ISSUES

• The biggest ethical problem of using mobile phone for students they get
distracted in classroom.
• Using it unnecessarily, playing games, checking measages in morning and
before sleeping.
• Keeping it near the pillow, the ration that passes is harmful to health.
• Excessive use of phones leads to lack of concentration, stress, low grades,
lack of vision, cyber bullying etc.
EFFECTS
• Mobile phones share some general or common health issues caused by using
them continuously and for a long period of time, the following are the major
ones: head ache followed by irritability from continuous use of mobile devise,
lack of concentration daily living activities. Anxiety to users because of the flow
of news that they receive, which will cause an eye strain, loss of appetite and
make users feel tired, loss of hearing in continuous calls like neck pain, limb
pain, lack of sleep , being disposed and addition for mobile phone.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

• TO STUDY THE MOBILE PHONE USE AMONG COLLEGE-GOING YOUTH IN CITY.


• TO STUDY GENDER DIFFERENCES IN MOBILE PHONE USE AMONG COLLEGE STUDENTS IN CITY.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:

• 1. TO IDENTIFY THE USAGE OF MOBILE PHONES, SERVICE PROVIDERS AND RESPECTIVE BRAND AMONG COLLEGE
STUDENTS.
• 2. TO STUDY THE INFLUENCE OF SMART PHONE AMONG COLLEGE STUDENTS.
• 3. TO IDENTIFY THE SATISFACTORY LEVEL OF COLLEGE STUDENTS IN DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF MOBILE PHONES
• THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS STUDY WAS TO ASSESS SOME OF THE SELF-PERCEIVED EFFECTS OF INCREASING CELL
PHONE USAGE ON THE WELL-BEING OF COLLEGE GOING STUDENTS. CERTAIN SYMPTOMS RELATED TO THE
MAJOR SYSTEMS OF OUR BODY LIKE THE NERVOUS SYSTEM (NEUROLOGICAL SYMPTOMS SUCH AS DEPRESSION,
SADNESS, IRRITABILITY AND HEADACHES, ANXIETY, LOSS OF MEMORY AND LACK OF SLEEP) WERE QUERIED.
• FOR ANALYTICAL STUDY STRIVES TO EVALUATE BROWSING FREQUENCY, INFORMATION SOURCED FOR ACADEMIC
PERFORMANCE ,MERITS AND DEMERITS OF SMART PHONE USAGE AMONG COLLEGE STUDENTS .THE FINDINGS OF
THIS STUDY COULD BE USED FOR INPUT IN SOCIAL HEALTH CARE. THIS STUDY WILL DISCUSS MANY ASPECTS
RELATED TO SMART PHONES DEVICES AND THE IMPACT OF SMART PHONES ON STUDENTS HEALTH.
