PLACES UPON HIS NAME
1. God demands fear (reverence, respect) for His name
(Deut 28:58-59). He commands man not to take His
name in vain (Exodus 20:7).
2. God warns His people not to forget His name (Psalm
44:20-21; Jeremiah 23:25-27).
3. God promises a blessing for those who know his
name (Ps 91:14-16). There is a blessing for those who
think upon His name (Malachi 3:16).

• It is the highest name (Acts 4:10,12; Ephesians 1:21;

Philippians 2:9-11; Colossians 3:17)
• It is not a magical formula; we must have faith in Jesus
himself (Acts 3:16; 10:43; 19:13-17)
• The early church preached, taught, prayed, performed
miracles, healed the sick, cast out demons, baptized,
suffered, and rejoiced in that name.

 Why is the Name of Jesus the full revelation of God?

• Simply because Jesus is Jehovah and in Jesus

dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily,
including the role of Father (Colossians 2:9)
• This truth will lead us to another topic which talks
about the DEITY OF JESUS CHRIST.
