Creating Variants

Transaction variants are created to

personalize any standard SAP transaction. A
transaction variant simplifies the usage of a
transaction by tailoring some of the features
as per the business need. It can be used to
hide fields, menu functions, screens, to supply
individual fields with default values or to
change the ready for input status of one or
more fields.

Kruger Products - SAP Navigation (September 4,

2018)
Creating List Variants
Once you create a display variant for a line-item report, you will probably want to use it whenever you execute this
same transaction in the future so that you can compare the same data in successive reports. To do this, you must
first save your new display variant.

Next time you go into the transaction/report,

click on the ‘Change Display’ and select the
display variant you created.

Searching for Data
- Wildcards
Examples:
*make* = contains term
Make* = begins with term
*make = ends with term
*fuel*make* = all values with both terms

Warning: Using the wildcard by itself (*) may

significantly slow down the system as it
retrieves all available values. Be as specific
as possible
