the facilities through the course of my training on ‘Implant of
Doordarshan’.
Also I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr Jyoti

training in DDK, Guwahati.

INTRODUCTION
 Doordarshan is a Public Broadcast Terrestial channel run by
Prasar Bharti.
 The head office is located at Doordarshan Kendra, Mandi
House, New Delhi.
 Its past name was All India Radio and it was separated from
All India Radio in 1976.
STUDIO
 A studio is an installation
in which television or
video production take
place.
 The studio is fully
digitalized and it is mainly
take place for all major
recording and live
interactive programs.

A Camera consist three sections :
i. A camera lens and optical
block :- To form image on the
face plate of a pick up device.
ii. A transducer or pick up
device :- To convert optical
image into a electrical signal.
iii. Electronics :- To process
output of a transducer to get
a CCVS(Colour Composite
Video Signal) signal
LIGHTING
Lighting is very exciting and needs
creative talent to achieve the
required effect.
Different types of light :-
 Key Light :- This is the principal
light source of illumination. It is
hard light which provides shining
on the front part of object.
 Fill Light :- It controls the lighting
contrast by filling in shadows.
 Back Light :- It separate the object
from the background.
 Background Light :- It unfold the
background interest and shapes.

EARTH STATION
 Earth Station is an uplink centre from which the signals are fed
to satellite for distribution in a specified area covered by the
satellite.
 The signal is up-linked from the earth station and received by
many downlink centres in TV broad casting via PDA.

CONCLUSION
 Doordarshan, the national television service of India, is
devoted to public service broadcasting.
 It is one of the largest terrestrial network in the world. In
my industrial training at Doordarshan Kendra, Guwahati, I
have gained useful knowledge which will surely be of great
help in future.
 This training gave me an opportunity to learn the practical
aspects of the knowledge of my field of interest, electronics
and communication.
