Spacific OBJECTIVES
At the end of this presentation participants will be
able to
identify the steps of creativity .
Explain the important of each creativity process
Introduction
Creativity
Is the ability to bring something new into existence.
emphasizes the “ability,” not the “activity” of bringing
something new
A person may therefore conceive of something new and
envision how it will be useful, but not necessarily take the
necessary action to make it a reality.
There are different stages in the process of creativity,
but most social scientists agree on five stages that we label
as idea germination, preparation, incubation, illumination
and verification.
Activity
why each is important to the creativity process?
Stage of Creative proces
Stage 1. Idea germination (Recognition): The seeding
stage of a new idea
Stage 2. Preparation (Rationalization):- Conscious search
for knowledge, searching answers for problems
Stage 3. Incubation(Development):- Subconscious
assimilation of information. Allowing ideas to grow by
giving time and concentration.
Stage 4. Illumination (Realization): Recognition of ideas
as being feasible. The stage where an individual says “Oh,
I see it”
Stage 5. Verification (Validation): is the development
stage of refining knowledge in to application.

In each stage, a creative individual behaves
differently to move an idea from the seed
stage of germination to verification.
A model of the creative process is
