This document contains an introduction and proposed dissertation submitted by Abhijit Gogoi exploring three topics: [1] Architectural space and psychological feelings, [2] Different house designs in cold and warm areas, and [3] Low cost housing. For each topic, the introduction provides background and aims to understand how architectural design can impact human psychology, appropriate designs for different climates, and solutions for affordable housing. The proposed methodologies include literature reviews, case studies, material and technical analyses, and considering social and human factors.

Architectural space and psychological feelings. • Introduction – Today, as the architectural design and development has becoming increasingly mature, the functions are no longer the principal contradictions of building, and on the other hand, the psychological feelings generated by building are not emphasized by the architect. Different buildings can generate different psychological feelings. Each building will generate different spaces, each building also consists of various spaces, and each space can give people different feeling. The psychological space of building has both important application value and great artistic value, which can not only help the architect to more systematically design the overall architectural space, but also help the building user to more comprehensively recognize the space. For example, in Suzhou traditional garden of china and Chinese temple. • Aims– In the frame of this research we wish to explore humans aesthetic judgments and feelings towards spaces characterised by different geometries, form, colour, light, texture, smell and sound. • Objectives – 1.Is to analysis human character. 2. understanding the form, colour, light, textures. • Scope and need of the study - The study of Architectural space and psychological feelings has immense scope from good health, promote well being, healing processes, behaviour etc. • Limitation – 1. Design the space with consideration of human being psychology. 2. Taking in account the building function, type of buildings, interior space. 3. Design pocket gardens, parks, and a sense of safe and secure space. • Methodology –
1. Study on human psychology.
2. Books ( psychology for architectures, Environment
psychology for design.)
3. Studying the experiments process.
4. Ways of living of people.
Different houses design in cold and warm areas. Introduction - A climate characterized by cold temperature for a majority of the time during the year. For Polar region cold climate specify arctic regions or Antarctic regions. This is a continental climate with long, very cold winters, and short, cool summers. moderately high temperature; characterized by comparatively high temperature: a warm oven, a warm climate, a warm summer. It is necessary to understand the different houses of different regions to design and construct a comfortable and sustainable houses . To know how it works and functions with that respective climatic materials and techniques. • Aims- In the frame of this research is to understand the types of design and techniques that are apply to the houses. • Objectives- 1.Climate study. 2. Performance of the materials. 3. Technics analysis. • Scope of the study - The study of different houses design in cold and warm areas has immense scope from making more efficient houses, healthy and comfortable spaces for the dwellers and better use of the materials. • Limitation- 1. Studying the houses which are only on very cold and warm climate. 2. Considering the locally available materials. • Methodology – 1. Studying the climate.
2. Using of locally available materials.
3.Technical installation of elements.
4. Design layout of houses.
