Home tract: Faisalabad, Sahiwal,
Okara, Lahore, Sheikhupura,
Gujranwala, Jhang, Sargodha,
Toba Tek Singh and Khanewal
districts.
Physical Characteristics: Meat
and milk type and famous for
sacrificial purpose. Color is black
and white spotted. Black replaced
with red are acceptable while
splashing of any color will be a
disqualification. Massive body,
large pendulous ears, spiral horns
and long in males, long stout
legs, short tail, udder well
developed with long teats.

 Nuqri Beetal
Home tract: Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur
and Bahawalpur districts. Rajanpuri is
another name used for Nuqri strain
because of its main concentration in
Rajanpur.
Physical Characteristics: Meat and milk
type and famous for sacrificial purpose.
Coat colour is white. Small spots of black
or even brown color are sometimes
acceptable on legs. Pinkish muzzle and
ears are preferred and that is why
sometimes it is called ‘ghulabi’. Massive
body, roman nose, long broad and
pendulous ears, small horns sometimes
polled, long stout legs, short tail, udder
well developed with long teats. Live
weight average is 60 to 100 and in
sacrificial males may go more than 200
Makhi Cheeni Beetal
Home tract: Bahawalpur,
Bahawalnagar and Muzafargarh
districts.
Physical Characteristics: Milk and
meat type and famous for sacrificial
purpose. Makhi-Cheeni strain
207 kg
primarily has light background
with light or dark brown splashing.
Spotting is not acceptable, solid
fawn color may be allowed. Massive
body, roman nose, long broad and
pendulous ears, small horns, long
stout legs, short tail, udder well
developed with long teats. Live

190/150 days
Gujrati Beetal
Home tract: Gujrat; Sargodha;
Jehlum; Mandi Bahaudin, Sialkot
districts.
Physical Characteristics: Milk and
meat type and famous for sacrificial
purpose. Massive body, roman nose,
long broad and pendulous ears,
spiral horns and long in males, long
stout legs, short tail, udder well
developed with long teats.
Live weight Kg: 70-80
Milk yield Lit: 190/150 days
Other variants of black, brown and
white combinations also exist in
Beetals. Dark and light brown
spotting for example, is called
‘Shaira’ color.
Rahim Yar Khan Beetal
Home tract: Rahim Yar
Khan district.
Physical Characteristics: Meat and
milk type and famous for sacrificial
purpose. Coat colour is black, white
color will be a disqualification
whereas Splashing of any color is not
allowed. Taller body and long neck,
roman nose, long broad and
pendulous ears, small horns, long
stout legs, short tail, udder well
developed with long teats.
Live weight Kg: 60-100.
Average Milk yield Lit: 190/150 days
Nagri Beetal
Home tract: Faisalabad, Okara,
Sahiwal and Pakpattan districts.
Physical Characteristics: Meat
and milk type and famous for
sacrificial purpose. Dark brown
with lacing of black or very dark
brown color (called ‘loha’ color).
Spotting of white color is
acceptable. roman nose, long
broad and pendulous ears, small
horns, long stout legs, short tail,
udder well developed with long
teats.
